Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter FOLA has released his sophomore album, 9, officially unveiled on October 9, 2026. The 14-track project represents a fresh chapter in his musical journey and expands on the work he has delivered so far.
Known as “Striker,” the title 9 takes its inspiration from football, where the number is commonly associated with the forward tasked with finding the back of the net. FOLA uses that idea as the foundation of the project, connecting the role of a striker with his own drive to make a meaningful impact through music.
Several songs stand out across the album’s tracklist. “Miss U II (Nriri)” arrives as Track 5, followed by “Treat U Right” featuring Ayra Starr at Track 7. The project continues with “Attention!” and “Fine Ting (Fine $hit)” on Tracks 8 and 9.
The album also brings together notable collaborations, including Davido on “2am In Toronto,” BNXN on “My Type,” and Darkoo on “Hold U Down.” FOLA rounds off the 14-track collection with “It’s Over,” featuring Bella Shmurda and Zlatan.
