Nigerian singer-songwriter FOLA officially released “WAF” on October 9, 2026, as part of his sophomore album 9, also known as Striker. The Afrobeats track arrives as the project’s 10th song on the 14-track album.

“WAF” had already drawn attention before its official release after leaking online in May 2026. The early appearance sparked curiosity around the record as anticipation grew for FOLA’s album rollout and the eventual unveiling of its official tracklist.

The song’s title is linked to Wafflesncream (WAF), described as Lagos Island’s pioneer African skate community. FOLA PR previously handled global communications for the adidas x waf. footwear collaboration, which honoured the skate community.
