BigXthaPlug reconnects with the Southern hip-hop sound that shaped his career on his fourth studio album, BETTER OVER TIME, a compelling 18-track project released on October 30, 2026. Following the country-influenced approach of his 2025 album, I Hope You’re Happy, the Dallas rapper returns to his Texas-inspired musical roots while examining the rewards of success, personal growth and the pressures that accompany fame.

Driven by rich soul samples and BigXthaPlug’s commanding delivery, the album balances his signature Southern rap style with more reflective themes. Across the project, he considers how far he has come and the personal challenges that can emerge alongside a rising career.

The guest appearances add further variety to the album without taking attention away from its central voice. GloRilla features on “FAF,” while Lil Yachty and Babyface Ray join him on “BELIEVE.” Other collaborations include Leon Thomas on “NO LIMIT,” Ava Max on “BURN” and Fridayy on “HEAL ME.”

The album rollout also includes an official music video for “I LIKE IT,” featuring Florida rapper Loe Shimmy. On November 1, BigXthaPlug followed up with a remix of “LITE,” bringing in Lil Wayne alongside Belly Gang Kushington.

Designed by Luke Abad, the cover artwork incorporates visual elements from BigXthaPlug’s previous major releases, connecting the album to his musical journey.
