FOLA delivers “Stubborn,” a solo Afrobeats record featured on his sophomore album 9, also known as Striker. Officially released on October 9, 2026, the track arrives as one of the early songs on the Nigerian singer-songwriter’s 14-track project.

“Stubborn” holds the fourth position on the album, coming immediately after “2am in toronto” featuring Davido. Its placement follows the opening records “Awade” and “How Many?”, bringing another solo FOLA performance into the early stretch of the project.

Released under Dangbana Republik Records and EMPIRE, the song forms part of an album that combines FOLA’s individual records with collaborations involving several notable Nigerian artists. While “2am in toronto” introduces a guest appearance from Davido, “Stubborn” shifts the focus back to FOLA alone.

The track also adds to the growing catalogue surrounding FOLA’s sophomore era, following the release of his debut project Catharsis. As part of 9, “Stubborn” contributes another Afrobeats entry to his 2026 releases.
