A globally recognized Nigerian gospel minister and songwriter, Nathaniel Bassey, has released his 7-track live worship album “The Life Recording” on 14 August 2026.
The project features live worship songs focused on praise, healing, victory, and a deeper walk with God.
After his previous album, “The Glory of His Presence,” released in January 2026, he surprised fans by announcing this new project. That wait is now over.
The trumpet-led masterpiece was created through intimate moments with God in a live worship gathering. Bassey intentionally named it “The Life Recording” because he experienced “The River of Life” while making the project and wanted to share that encounter with his listeners; it also helps believers prepare spiritually for the Hallelujah Challenge in October 2026.
The album opens with “Agbanilagbatan,” a song about God as the ultimate deliverer. The track was created by Gbolahan Odukoya, an award-winning guitarist and music tutor. It is followed by “Praise The Lord” and “The Battle Belongs to God (Praise Medley),” which was co-written by Apostle Joshua Selman.
Other songs on the album include “The Potentate,” “Glory to God in the Highest,” and “Onye Kam Ga Si Na Oyiri Gi,” which features gospel vocalist Mirabel Ekezie.
The project closes with “New Beauty,” a live worship song about transformation, restoration, and entering a new season with God.
The Life Recording by Nathaniel Bassey is now available to stream and listen to on music platforms.
Part of “New Beauty” lyrics:
“He’s giving new beauty
He’s giving new praise
It is my season
It is my time.”
