A deeply spiritual side of Phyno emerges on “Nwa Aturu,” a reflective solo record featured on his sixth studio album, Let That Sink In (LTSI). Released on October 30, 2026, the song appears as the album’s sixth track, exploring faith, forgiveness, humility, and the importance of seeking divine protection.
Produced by longtime collaborator Kezyklef, “Nwa Aturu” takes its title from an Igbo expression meaning “The Lamb,” referring to the Lamb of God. Through its lyrics, Phyno acknowledges human imperfections and the uncertainties of life, turning to God for mercy, guidance, and strength when circumstances become difficult.
The rapper delivers his message in a combination of Igbo and Pidgin English, giving the song a personal and culturally rooted expression. Rather than relying on his usual hard-hitting rap approach, he embraces a more reflective delivery that allows the spiritual message to stand out.
Musically, “Nwa Aturu” blends contemporary Afro-pop elements with traditional Highlife influences. Its recurring prayerful refrains create a worship-inspired atmosphere, while the production maintains a balance between modern Nigerian sounds and indigenous musical expressions.
Within Let That Sink In (LTSI), the track provides a meaningful change of pace, revealing another dimension of Phyno’s artistry through a message centred on repentance, faith, and dependence on God.
