The spiritual condition of the Church and the need for renewed commitment to God form the central message of “Wake Up,” a gospel release by Dunsin Oyekan featuring Bible teacher Bro. Gbile Akanni and Mount Zion Film Productions. Released on November 5, 2026, the song delivers a direct call to the Body of Christ to examine its spiritual life and become more alert to its responsibilities.
The release also arrived on Dunsin Oyekan’s birthday, adding significance to the occasion. Moving beyond the structure of a conventional worship song, “Wake Up” brings together musical ministration, spoken-word exhortation and Christian cinematic elements to present its message.
Bro. Gbile Akanni contributes a challenging address on the state of the modern Church, urging believers to recognise the importance of spiritual awareness. Mount Zion Film Productions complements the message with dramatic visuals that reinforce the themes explored in the release.
At its heart, “Wake Up” warns against spiritual complacency and the danger of allowing worldly desires to weaken one’s walk with God.
