Released on October 30, 2026, “My Fever” explores the intense feelings that come with falling deeply in love. Its lyrics capture the excitement and uncertainty of developing strong feelings for someone who gradually becomes a source of comfort and affection.
The song seemed produced by Abbah Process, bringing together elements of Afrobeats, Bongo Flava, R&B and contemporary pop. Marioo’s appearance adds another dimension to the collaboration, while the accompanying music video, directed by Joma in Dar es Salaam, gives the release a visual presentation.
As Malaika Gray begins this new phase under Africori, “My Fever” introduces her sound to a wider audience with support from an established name in Tanzanian music. The collaboration also gives listeners a fresh pairing between the emerging singer and Marioo.
