Nigerian Indigenous rapper Jeriq keeps his 2026 momentum going with “Different Wave,” a fresh collaboration featuring Tuff King.
The new record finds the Iyoo Cartel frontman delivering another street-focused performance while staying rooted in the sound and identity that have shaped his rise.
Released on September 16, 2026, the track brings together sharp Igbo rap verses and drill-inspired elements over a production creatively built around the underground recording “Riddim of the Wave.” Jeriq and Tuff King use the record to express a mindset centred on doing things differently, pushing through the hustle, and seeking divine direction along the way.
The release arrives shortly after Jeriq’s six-track Hood Boy Dreams 2 and his sophomore album, KING, which dropped in August and featured appearances from Victony, Bella Shmurda, and Blaqbonez. He also recently joined Yemi Alade on “Overtake,” the 14th track on her latest 16-track album.
With “Different Wave,” Jeriq continues to strengthen his place within Nigeria’s Indigenous hip-hop scene while expanding his reach through fresh collaborations. Tuff King adds another distinctive voice to the record, making the new release a notable addition to Jeriq’s growing 2026 catalogue.
