Grief takes a deeply personal form on “Hommage,” a touching tribute from Congolese music star Fally Ipupa dedicated to the late Vally Amisi.

The song seemed officially released on September 18, 2026, as part of Fally’s massive **51-track double album, XX : Délirium.

Vally Amisi, a young Congolese entrepreneur and sports executive, was remembered for his impact within the Kinshasa community before his sudden passing. Through “Hommage,” Fally turns his loss into a personal musical tribute, reflecting on the pain of losing someone close and the emptiness that follows.

The lyrics use medical and melancholic imagery to describe the grieving process. Fally sings about falling into an “emotional coma” because of the pain of separation, while also expressing the reality of continuing life with a permanent void left behind.

Rather than treating the song as a conventional release, “Hommage” serves as a sincere remembrance of Vally Amisi. Its emotional weight gives XX : Délirium a more personal dimension and highlights Fally Ipupa’s ability to channel real-life experiences into his music.
