Rather than relying on a single musical style, the collaboration pairs Deobi’s melodic delivery with Incredible JJ’s spirited rap performance. This contrast gives the record its character, combining the smoothness of Afrobeats with the rhythmic punch of hip-hop. The upbeat arrangement makes “Nakupenda” a fitting addition for fans who enjoy diverse sounds from across Africa.
Behind the production, Rappnem_beatż, also known as Rappnem Drummer, handled the beat, while Gran P/Mix Rhythm contributed co-production and mixing. Their combined efforts support the track’s fusion of melodic passages and energetic rap, allowing both performers to bring their styles into the same musical space.
The release also highlights the growing exchange of sounds and talent between Nigeria and Sierra Leone. By bringing Deobi and Incredible JJ together, “Nakupenda” introduces a cross-border collaboration that draws from their respective musical influences.
Listen to “Nakupenda” by Deobi featuring Incredible JJ and enjoy this blend of Afrobeats, Afro-fusion, gyration, and street-hop.
