Seven years after Ignorance Is Bliss, Skepta returns with The Fork and Knife, his sixth studio album and first solo full-length release since 2019. The project arrived on November 6, 2026, through Big Smoke/Epic Records.

The album draws from Skepta’s personal and cultural background, touching on identity, immigration, masculinity, and his experience growing up British with Nigerian roots. Its wider perspective also connects elements of Nigerian-British culture with London life and the history surrounding the Windrush generation.

Sonically, The Fork and Knife moves across several UK and electronic styles rather than remaining strictly within grime. Garage, house, jungle, rave, and electronic influences all feature across the project, giving Skepta room to explore different musical settings.

The album’s rollout included “Innocent Smile,” featuring Chase & Status and Suggs, which introduced part of the broader sound explored on the project.

With The Fork and Knife, Skepta brings together his established UK rap identity and personal storytelling across a new chapter in his catalogue.
