A fresh chapter begins for rising Nigerian rapper Champz with “Groove,” his latest single released on September 24, 2026.

The young artist, born Boluwatife Balogun, continues to build attention around his music as he develops a style that stands on its own.

Following his March 2026 sophomore EP, Young Poet, Champz returns with a record that further explores his growing interest in Afroswing and UK-influenced rap. Rather than simply following the traditional Afrobeats path associated with his father, Wizkid, he leans into rhythmic rap flows and a street-focused sound that gives his music a distinct identity.

“Groove” arrives after a major milestone for the young rapper, who seemed reported to have become the youngest Nigerian artist to surpass one million monthly listeners on Spotify.

With previous releases such as “Bad Guyz” and “Militia” helping to introduce his sound, “Groove” adds another piece to Champz’s developing catalog and signals his continued growth as a young artist.
