LISA is bringing her Thai identity and rap-driven energy to the forefront with “SaWaDiKa,” a bold new release that launches the next chapter of her solo era with unmistakable confidence.
Released on September 4, 2026, the track arrives as the lead pre-release offering from LISA’s forthcoming debut studio EP, PRESS PLAY, scheduled for October 23, 2026. The song takes its name from “sawatdee ka” (สวัสดีค่ะ), the traditional Thai greeting commonly used by women to say “hello” or “welcome,” giving the release a strong connection to LISA’s roots.
Musically, “SaWaDiKa” leans heavily into the hip-hop and rap elements that have shaped LISA’s solo identity. Produced by Thom Bridges and Ojivolta, the record rides on aggressive trap production, pounding drums, rapid cadences, and a forceful rhythmic delivery that keeps the track intense from start to finish.
The song also turns cultural references into part of its swagger. LISA incorporates Thai expressions and references to the Baht into her lyrics, blending elements of home with the larger-than-life attitude that defines her global pop presence.
Its accompanying music video has pushed the release even further. Shot in Bangkok, the cinematic visual reportedly drew 70.8 million views within its first 24 hours, making it one of the biggest music video debuts of 2026 and placing it behind only LISA’s own “LALISA” among solo-artist 24-hour YouTube debuts.
“SaWaDiKa” arrives at a particularly busy point in LISA’s solo journey, ahead of her upcoming documentary Always Lalisa, premiering October 12, and her sold-out VIVA LA LISA residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas later this year.
Listen to “SaWaDiKa” by LISA and add the record to your playlist as anticipation builds for PRESS PLAY.
