Two years after their first recorded link-up, Qing Madi and DJames reconnect for “Can’t Wait,” a new Afrobeats release issued on October 1, 2026.
The song follows their 2024 collaboration “Love Me,” which featured on DJames’ Grateful EP. Their latest meeting takes a smoother route, with Qing Madi handling the vocals while DJames shapes the record around a relaxed Afrobeats groove.
Qing Madi’s R&B-influenced delivery remains at the front of the track, giving the song a polished vocal character. DJames keeps the instrumental measured and rhythmic, creating enough space for her performance to carry the record.
“Can’t Wait” marks another entry in the pair’s growing catalogue together, connecting their previous work with a fresh release that sits between contemporary Afrobeats and Afro-R&B.
