BNXN (BUJU) reconnects with FOLA on “Shamaya,” a melodic Afrobeats collaboration that brings two distinct vocal styles together for one of the standout moments on his latest project. The song was released on October 1, 2026.
Serving as the fifth track on BNXN’s six-track EP, Still In Charge, “Shamaya” arrives just before the closing track, “If You Like.” The release had already built anticipation through an earlier snippet, giving listeners a taste of what was coming ahead of the full drop.
The production maintains a crisp, mid-tempo feel, allowing both singers to focus on melody and vocal chemistry. BNXN delivers his laid-back style while FOLA adds complementary harmonies, creating a smooth exchange that carries the song from start to finish.
“Shamaya” also marks another musical link between the two artists following “Very Soon,” their previous collaboration on BNXN’s CAPTAIN album. Their latest record extends that connection while adding another collaborative entry to Still In Charge.
