The streets of the South East get another rap soundtrack with Aguero Banks and Evado joining forces on “Asawana,” an Eastern drill and Igbo hip-hop record released on October 2, 2026.
Built around the character of contemporary Eastern Nigerian rap, the song brings together sharp verses, local expressions, and drill-inspired percussion. Aguero Banks and Evado approach the record with confident deliveries, creating a natural exchange as they move through their respective parts.
Beyond its street-rap edge, “Asawana” carries elements of Igbo culture and identity, giving the song a strong regional character. The production maintains a brisk pace throughout, leaving enough space for both rappers to emphasise their lyrics and individual styles.
The release also arrived alongside its official music video, extending the presentation of the collaboration beyond the audio. For Aguero Banks, it adds another Eastern-focused record to his catalogue, while Evado gets another opportunity to showcase his lyricism alongside an established voice from the region.
Stream “Asawana” by Aguero Banks featuring Evado and watch the official video for a closer look at their latest Igbo hip-hop collaboration.
