Kneel down and beg me like Davido begged that lady or I will never release any song again – Wizkid

In what may be considered a jab at his contemporary, famous Nigerian singer-songwriter, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid has vowed not release any song again until Nigerians kneel down and beg him like Davido begged a lady in a recent viral video.

Wizkid stated this while responding to a fan who asked when he would be making his next music release on X (formerly Twitter).

This was as the singer engaged in a rare interactive session with his fans on the social media space, answering their questions and replying trolls while also creating clarifications on matters that fans raised online.

In one of the posts by fans, a tweep identified as @Walentinoh requested the singer to release a new song as it has been long since his last release.

Responding to the request, Wizkid simply shared a recent viral video of Davido on his knees begging a lady while crying profusely and captioned it “beg me like this. Send video.”

This has however, ignited mixed reaction amongst fans and other social media users including a popular celebrity critic, Daniel Regha who chided the singer for sharing the video despite its demeaning nature against Davido.

Daniel Regha questioned Wizkid’s morals and the kind of values he seeks to impact in his children. He wrote:

“Wizkid u are 33 yrs old right now & a father of many children, is this the kinda mindset u wish to teach ur k!ds? U for a fact know how damag!ng that supposed video of Davido begging on his knees was, but still posted it. For someone who’s often put on a pedestal of maturity, u sure d¤n’t know how to comport urself. Gr¤w-up.”

Another user,@Alphachukwuebuka wrote: “Maturity is far from him. Even at this age. Anyone that thought he was wise for staying silent is mistaken. No wonder with all the money, the baby mama still uses a muscle camry coming online asking people to fix her car for her But na Davido own them go see talk.”

However, some Wizkid FCs did not see anything wrong with the act and further went on to use the post for fun.

One Agba Akin wrote, “Wizkid actually downloaded the video to use it for a come back later? This is wild 😂😂😂😂😂, bruhhhhh.”

Recall that the video had recently gone viral on the internet shortly after Davido was accused of another sexual engagement with an American lady who was reported to have accidentally shared cozy photos of herself and the DMW boss on social media.

The said lady, a model had reportedly released the video while trying to exonerate herself from series of heated cyber bullying she received from hundreds of Nigerian social media users after she mistakenly shared the cozy photos of Davido and herself.

Sharing the video on her Instagram handle, the American lady reportedly captioned it, “all you Nigerians reaches need to leave me alone I’m not even the one fvcking with that man.”

She further asked in a bid to ridicule the singer, “this who y’all attacking me over? Leave me alone.”
