The blistering Nigerian singer and songwriter Omah Lay joins forces with American rapper Gunna on “Back to Lagos,” an atmospheric Afrobeats and hip-hop collaboration released on October 30, 2026.
Not to mention, the track appears on Clarity of Mind (Extended), the deluxe expansion of Omah Lay’s sophomore studio album, issued through Sire Records and Warner Records.
On “Back to Lagos,” both artists reflect on the pressures that come with success, wealth, and finding a sense of identity. The song explores the desire to reconnect with familiar surroundings, using Lagos as a symbol of home and personal grounding despite the demands of global recognition.
Its production combines ominous basslines, atmospheric guitar melodies, and haunting choral elements to create a moody soundscape. Omah Lay brings his emotionally expressive vocal style to the record, while Gunna adds his smooth, melodic rap delivery, giving the collaboration an international appeal.
With this release, Omah Lay adds another cross-continental collaboration to the Clarity of Mind (Extended) tracklist.
