Tanzanian gospel group Neema Gospel Choir presents “Hymns Medley,” a live choral worship recording released on October 14, 2026.
The performance brings traditional Christian hymns together with contemporary choral harmonies, creating a worship experience centred on praise, prayer, and devotion.
Directed and orchestrated by choirmaster Fredrick Japhet Kilago, also known as Masanja, the medley draws from classic Swahili hymn collections, including Kitabu cha Tenzi za Rohoni and Kitabu cha Nyimbo za Sifa. These collections provide the foundation for an arrangement that honours established gospel traditions through the choir’s collective vocals.
Neema Gospel Choir operates under the Africa Inland Church Tanzania (AICT), reflecting its connection to the country’s Christian worship community. Through “Hymns Medley,” the group revisits familiar hymn traditions while presenting them through coordinated choral singing and layered harmonies.
The live recording offers listeners an opportunity to reconnect with traditional Swahili hymns in a choral setting. Its focus on established worship songs makes it a fitting release for personal devotion, prayer, and congregational praise.
