A meeting of South Africa’s dance sounds arrives with “Yebo Nkosi,” a new release by Sykes featuring Dlala Thukzin, Kabza De Small, Mthunzi, and JNR SA. The song was released on October 2, 2026, through Lekelela Entertainment.
Sykes takes the lead on the vocals, with Mthunzi adding a soulful layer to the performance. Behind them, Dlala Thukzin, Kabza De Small, and JNR SA bring their production experience to a record that sits between Afro House and 3-Step.
Performed in Zulu, the track runs for 6 minutes and 34 seconds, giving the arrangement plenty of space to develop. Its extended runtime allows the instrumental and vocal elements to unfold gradually rather than following a compact structure.
With contributions from five artists across vocals and production, “Yebo Nkosi” connects different parts of South Africa’s modern dance music landscape while maintaining its own extended groove.
