A popular Tanzanian dance trend gets a full musical treatment as Zuchu joins forces with rising singer De Smile for “Kucheza Unajua,” a fast-paced Singeli collaboration released around September 26, 2026.
The song takes inspiration from the “Kama Matua Kumbe Kucheza Unajua” trend associated with Matua TZ, which spread through dance videos and short-form social content. Zuchu and De Smile build on the familiar phrase, turning it into a complete song.
For Zuchu, the release offers a different musical setting from the Bongo Flava and Afro-pop sounds commonly associated with her catalogue. She embraces the rapid pace of Singeli alongside De Smile, giving the track a distinctly energetic character.
The collaboration connects Zuchu’s established presence with De Smile’s contribution while keeping the dance-oriented idea behind the song intact.
